When I looked at the paint off this car I had the impression that it was in the casting of the well known Hitchcock movie, “Birds” : ) judging by the amount of bird poo that was on the car.Even the car was from 2008 the paint needed some TLC.
But lets take it step by step
This is how the car looked when it came.
I started with a rinse with the pressure washer followed by snow foam…
After a rinse I went on with the 2BM
This is how the buckets looked when I started….
And after…
The car was rinsed again and dried with the Miracle Dryer
I went to the clay stage….
After the hood
After one side
And now lets see the damage
And the most tragic af all
Excepting a few areas the paint was corrected with a pass of 3M FCP on a white Lake Country polishing pad followed by a pass with the Menzerna 106FA on a black Lake Country finishing pad
One of the problem areas …after TWO passes with 3M FCP …
Since this was not getting the wanted result I went on to 2500 grit paper….
And “voila” : ) what you can still see there is the halogen frame : D
Hood before…
Half done….
Right front fender before
After
Those scraches were deeper than they seemed at the first glace so I didn’t followed them till the end…
Side with a 50/50 on the door
And then finished
Driver door before
After
The left back door had a tragic scratch that was a priority from the client point of view to be sorted out so I did my best….
Before
After – still visible for someone that knew exactly where it was but 80% corrected…
The sad part, the back fender had a giant scratch on it…..
The places where the paint was gone remained like that but the rest was visibly corrected
Afer….
After paint correction I went on with the taillights

The glaze of choice was Wet Mirror Finish from Chemical Guys followed by Collinite 476s as LSP
